After graduating with a bachelor degree in marketing in 2013. Rakan moved to Los Angeles to complete his master's degree. When the first semester ended, he made the decision to follow his passion and joined SCI to get his culinary certificate.
After participating in local and international culinary competitions, including Top Chef Middle East Season 2, his career shifted to another level when he started working at the Four Seasons Hotel in December 2017.
He started his journey in media in 2017 after Top Chef, his first TV cooking show was in May 2018 at Abu Dhabi Chanel, his second was in May 2019 in Rotana Chanel.
During his journey he works in high end international events to share his passion with the world. Such as, World Economic forum 2018 Switzerland, Saudi Cultural Day 2018 New York, Saudi Films Day 2018 Los Angeles, Diplomatic Saudi Evening 2019 South Africa, National Day 2019 China, Fashion Future 2019 Saudi Arabia, and G20 Minsters of Finance dinner 2019 Saudi Arabia.
He was named Best Saudi Chef 2018 by the Saudi Tourism Excellence Awards, Best Saudi Chef 2019 and Ambassador for Riyadh Season 2019 by the General Entertainment Authority.
